Transporters and users of the Metro of Mexico City express their constant concern about the conditions in which this transportation system operates, which is highly used by the capital's residents. Although Line 12 is experiencing a high influx of passengers, causing the trains to stop at each station, leading to inconveniences among travelers, as mentioned by a user recently. On the other hand, Line 3 experienced delays of up to 20 minutes the previous day, causing problems for users.
In response to these situations, the Metro of CDMX has inaugurated the Calle 6 station of Line 4 of the Metrobús in Iztacalco as an alternative for regular travelers. Despite this, delays were recorded on Line 6 on the morning of Thursday, January 30, leading to longer stops at each station, causing discomfort among users.
In response to the delays on Line 6, the Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro has taken measures to expedite the movement of the trains, asking passengers to help by allowing the doors to close freely and getting off the car before entering to speed up the process.
Regarding the influx on different Metro lines, high demand has been reported on Lines 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, A, and B, with waiting times of up to seven minutes. On the other hand, Lines 4, 5, 6, and 12 register a more moderate influx, with waiting times of 6 minutes to board a train.
Amid this situation, delays have also been reported on Line 7 towards El Rosario, causing discomfort among users due to the slowness of the service. Similarly, Line B, which connects Ciudad Azteca with Buenavista, is experiencing slower progress than usual, generating dissatisfaction among passengers.
